Glendora Show Choirs are more than just performance groups; they’re a vibrant community dedicated to excellence, growth, and the joy of music. Over the past few years, our program has flourished, becoming one of the top five show choirs on the West Coast and earning national recognition. This success is a testament not only to the talent and hard work of our students but also to the enduring support of our families and the community. Led by Matt Davis, our program is driven by a vision that extends beyond the stage. We’re committed to shaping the lives of our students — instilling confidence, teamwork, and resilience that carry well beyond their school years. Being part of Glendora Show Choirs means joining a legacy, a family, and a tradition of excellence that continues to inspire and impact the lives of our students long after they’ve graduated.
Kristen Hamilton Our Director
Kristen Hamilton brings over thirty years of experience as a performer, teacher, and conductor to her role as Choral Director at Glendora High School and Goddard Middle School. She holds a Master of Music in Classical Vocal Performance and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Azusa Pacific University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Cal Poly Pomona.
A passionate educator and lifelong musician, Kristen has taught voice and directed choirs at both the secondary and collegiate levels, most recently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Citrus College. As a performer, she has appeared in leading roles across opera, musical theatre, and concert stages, and is currently a member of Vox Femina Los Angeles. Her conducting credits include Rob Gardner’s Lamb of God and the world premiere of the Peruvian opera El Imperio de la Luz, which she both staged and music directed.
Kristen is dedicated to fostering a supportive, challenging, and joyful environment where students grow as confident singers, musicians, and collaborators.
She is also proud to carry forward her family’s connection to Glendora—her father graduated from Glendora HIgh School's Class of 1961.
She looks forward to building on the school’s strong tradition of excellence in choral music while creating new opportunities for students to discover the joy of making music together.
Susia Ruddell Choreographer & Show Designer
Susia Ruddell is a freelance show choir choreographer and show designer living in Los Angeles, California. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where she studied dance with a focus in flamenco, performing arts design, and adolescent development. She has worked all around the country designing one-of a- kind shows, creating costumes, choreographing, and teaching performance skills to students every year. Her passion to build a community within the performing arts has made her a leader in building programs across the region. She spends her free time going to Cosmetology school, crafting, and snuggling with her Bearded Dragon, Ducky.
Katrina Villareal Tech Director
Katrina Villareal has almost a decade of experience in lighting design and programming, technical direction and SPRAT rigging. She studied International Relations and Social Welfare at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has worked in almost every facet of lighting: from Theme Parks (Walt Disney Co. and Knott’s Berry Farm), National/World Tours, and Film. Her need to learn multiple forms of lighting has translated into a well-rounded approach in teaching students that there are many avenues they could explore as possible careers in the future. She is an avid golfer and enjoys spending her time with her dogs: Otis and Riley and annoying her lizards, Ducky, Xena, and Stubby.
Sioeli Aliki Choreographer
Sioeli Aliki is a performer and creative with a passion for music, dance, and movement. He graduated from Hart High School and is currently pursuing his education at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. During his four years at Hart, he was deeply involved in the choir program—starting with the intermediate group Hart n Soul during his freshman and sophomore years, before moving up to the advanced ensemble Sound Vibrations as a junior and senior. Throughout all four years, he also sang in the bass choir, Unleashed. Sioeli has been dancing for 5 years with Generation DCD, where he continues to train and perform as a member of their dance team. He brings a vibrant energy and a foundation in hip hop, aiming to create a fun and welcoming environment for those he works with. When he’s not dancing or performing, Sioeli enjoys playing video games and hitting the gym. He looks forward to inspiring others with his passion and enthusiasm.
Kevin Garnica Accompanist
Pianist and composer Kevin Garnica is an active musician in the Los Angeles area. He earned his Bachelor’s in Piano Performance and Master’s in Music Composition from Cal State Fullerton, where his work received top honors, including Outstanding Graduate Composition. In 1995, he became one of the youngest winners of the ASCAP Composition Competition, along with receiving the John Williams Grant for composition. Garnica has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the U.S., Europe, and Central and South America. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Collaborative Piano, and has performed with members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and other major symphonies. He has also taught and worked at numerous So Cal institutions, including Cal State Fullerton, Biola University, Chapman, and AMDA.
